On Sunday morning, it had been 48 hours since my last anaerobic exercise and I wanted to have a moderately intense, but short, session. I chose to do the advanced video workout from www.realage.com which you can view online at http://www.veoh.com/videos/v936277WY7dgM5r. This 18-minute video only uses bodyweight exercises to anaerobically exercise the shoulders, arms, chest, back, abdominals, and legs. This workout will produce some lactic acid in all of these muscles although not as much as doing 3 sets of exercises to almost-failure without much rest between sets.
About 30 minutes before exercising, I had 25 grams of whey isolate as a secretagogue/pre-exercise protein. After exercising, I had another 25 grams of whey isolate to help to quickly replenish the muscles. Then about 2 hours later, I had some more tasty protein by eating 4 cooked egg whites, a can of sardines, and a quarter cup of cooked lentils.
After exercising, I took a shower and ended with 3 minutes of cold, cold water as an attempt to increase endogenous antioxidants in my muscles.
I felt very good after exercising. Then I received much enjoyment from listening to music on an Ipod while playing with the dogs that I am dog-sitting.
